10/29/2019 Citrix Xen Windows X64 Pv Drivers Uninstall
Dear all, hope someone has a good hint for me. I upgrade my XenServer 6.2.0 cluster to XenServer 6.5 latest Hotfix and Release. No I got trouble updating the XenServer tools on two of my Windows 2008R2 servers. The XenServer Tools installation seems to be corrupted. The biggest problem seems to be that I have a device without any driver in my device manager ('SCSI controller'). Every time I reboot it ends in a blue screen 0x0000007B.
Which I can fix every time, when I boot into safe mode and delete the device. After the next normal boot, the device come up again.Has anyone heard of such a problem. I found already some hints in the forum, but they all didn't solved the problem. Even if I try to cleanup the XenTools from the server, I am not able to perform a fresh installation.regards,Fabian. Updating XenTools has been a persistent problem for many users including myself.I know the 7B stop error means that windows doesn't have a driver for the disk C: where the OS is installed. In the past, I've had some luck by fully uninstalling XenTools, removing any Xen devices from Device Manager (including Hidden Devices - check Show Hidden Devices), rebooting, and then re-installing.Other times, it has caused so much frustration that I just make a new Windows VM and transfer everything to it. The tools seem to install fine on new VMs, but this is far from an ideal situation for everyone!
I've had encountered that issue a few times as well. The frustrating part is that it seems to happen with different effects on identical windows VMs.I was able to fix the worst case by using a program like 'TotalUninstall' to completely remove the XenTools packages, reboot, and then reinstall the XenTools from scratch.Surprisingly that worked like a charm. Before that I also tried to manually install drivers, or removing hidden devices in the device manager. These steps would help on some VMs, but not in this case.
XenServer 6.2 SP1 with latest patches to date. I have an image we are in the process of provisioning. This image been with the customer for a long time and there's been upgrades to XenTools performed on image. One of my regular practicdes is to insure that there are no orphaned NICs present before provisioning the image. On this image there are 9 orphaned 'Citrix PV Network Adapter #0' and one Live 'Citrix PV Network Adapter #0'.THE PROBLEM: if I delete any of the orphaned 'Citrix PN Network Adapter #0' interfaces it kills the live one with it and I can never get it back even with XenTools removal and reinstallation.
I tried removing the NIC entirely from the VM and adding a new one back in and that did not work either. I think the NIC placement is persisting after adding the new NIC and windows is refusing to see the new NIC.See attached. I would uninstall XenTools. Remove all Network interfaces. Then do set DEVMGRSHOWNONPRESENTDEVICES=1 then run devmgmt.msc and check show hidden devices.Remove all networks that are hidden and physcial interfaces including the realtek if it shows.

Citrix Xen Windows X64 Pv Drivers Remove
Add Network Adapter to VM over XenCenterNo new device comes up in the Device Manager, neither Realtek nor Citrix PV. Scanned several timesI just have an Unknown device beneath Other devices but this component was there before I assigned NIC to VM.Therefore it can't be the NIC.
Only Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface is visible beneath Network adapters. Not a good start position to get the VM connecting to the network.
